Put waste in the right place and make the planet green and clean
Plastic Waste Management Workshop was organised by WMARS. Wherein a brief presentation about solid waste management and single use plastic was given.
WMARS celebrated eco-friendly and plastic free Diwali. They spread out awareness on social media through posters and video messages in which WMARS members were giving tips yo people on how they can celebrate plastic free Diwali.
On 2nd October 2019, WMARS members had also organized a plastic waste management workshop at Government New Secondary School, Vermatal, Tikamgarh in Madhya Pradesh. School students were given tips on how they can replace single use plastic from their daily lives.
On the occasion of Namdev Jayanti WMARS members did an awareness session in the Namdev Community. They also distributed cloth bags to everyone and requested all to use cloth bags in place of plastic polybags.
The WWWL CLUB ran a "plastic straw campaign" in Vaishali and Indirapuram. Roadside coconut water sellers were advised not to use plastic straws and they were given paper straws.
WMARS conducted an Awareness Program at Delhi's based NGO 'Gali Pathshala' in which children were informed about the environment and appealed to celebrate eco-friendly Christmas.
At Ber Sarai, Delhi WMARS team did a Chai Campaign wherein. All the Chai wala’s were told not to use plastic cups or kind of plastic disposable items.
The "WMARS" Waste Management and Recycling Society is a Non-Profit Organisation that works for the welfare of the environment. The usage of plastic causes great harm to the environment, especially "single use plastic" is very dangerous for the environment. We humans are using it haphazardly and have created a great imbalance in the environment. WMARS is focusing on the 7R's (Rethink, Refuse, Reduce, Repair, Reuse, Recycle, Rot) to protect the environment and create awareness by emphasizing on adopting eco-friendly lifestyles. Our organization is working in many parts of the country to eliminate 'single use plastic' and choose other options instead.
The organization's youth club WWW (Wmars Waste Warriors), which has a large number of school and college students as its members, who save their pocket money and run a campaign against pollution and single-use plastic.
For any social change, it is very important to disseminate the right information. My appeal to people is to have an optimistic mindset. Instead of complaining about pollution and environmental problems, they should seek solutions. Connect with our organisation WMARS to bring about a social change by minimising the use of plastic in your life. Support, cooperate and spread awareness by informing others.
WMARS is working towards reducing and optimizing e-waste, plastic waste and kitchen waste. Be aware and manage waste properly- this is the motto of WMARS.
I wish to express my views and concerns on a specific subject which means a lot to me and definitely to the future generation. Friends, We all have become so engrossed in our personal and family engagements and with a result, we unintentional have moved away from many important social issues. I feel now, we all must take out some time towards our social responsibilities as well...before it's too late..
I, take a pledge to minimize the use of plastic in your daily life and do not ever consume single-use-plastic.
This resolution will be helpful in saving the lives of humans and the animals. At our residence and offices, start using different dustbins for different wastes including wet and dry waste. If we keep plastic waste aside right at the source, it can be recycled easily. This is the need of the hour and we all must minimise the usage of plastic in daily life.
