Plastic Waste Management Workshop was organised by WMARS. Wherein a brief presentation about solid waste management and single use plastic was given. The following topics were discussed in detail, how and why single use plastic is extremely dangerous for the environment. And what all steps can be taken to prevent it. Shikhar Shrivastava was the plastic neutral person of the workshop as he separately collected plastic bottles so that they can be recycled properly.
WMARS conducted a "Plastic Waste Management Awareness Workshop" at DPS Faridabad. The workshop was attended by more than 200 teachers. The workshop was for the teachers to enhance their faculty of mind by giving them instructions about proper plastic waste management and to make everyone understand how plastic waste should be collected, segregated and ultimately disposed of.
PM Narendra Modi is leading effortlessly towards diminishing of single-use plastics by 2022. In support of the government WMARS also took the initiative against single use plastic. WMARS had organised awareness sessions to educate people about single use plastic and also talked about how the waste needs to be segregated. Also, 50,000 cloth bags were distributed by WMARS members in ten cities of India.
A new core committee was formed in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh on the 10th November 2019. After the formation of the committee all the new members were given training about plastic waste management.
Awareness program was organized by WMARS in Rosra village of Narsinghpur district of Madhya Pradesh. The program emphasized the use of cloth bags in place of plastic bags, informing women about the environmental damage caused by single use plastic.
